Reflections on Moving Meditations

     I made it a point this spring to observe the subtle changes of the season.  It was a wonderful experience to witness the blossoming of flowers and the budding of trees.  During my morning walks, I also make it a point to be more aware of those I pass, the things I see and whatever unfolds before me in my world at that given moment.  Sometimes while I walk, I chant a mantra, other times I can be seen with my headphones on, singing to the songs that  inspire me most.  I find joy and peace in this form of a  moving meditation.  
     It's interesting how things evolve and morph into their current level of being.  Like my walks, I am finding that my time on the mat has also transformed into a moving meditation...slow, methodical, linked synchronously with the breath.  A meditative dance of body and soul!
     I find my students also enjoy and appreciate the same meditative flow.  No matter the class level or intensity,  I encourage students to go within and enjoy the gifts that an introspective, meditative practice can provide.

Beach Yoga

     I am thrilled to say that, thus far, we have not experienced the monsoon-like rains and flooding of June '08 which put a huge damper on last summer's Yoga on the Beach.  This year beach yoga will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30am.  Please see the News and Events page for details.
 
Announcing Interchangeable locations

     I am happy to announce that you are now able to use your class packs interchangeably
between beach yoga, Chiropractic and Wellness and Three Sister's Spirit.   However,classes at Faith Lutheran are not interchangeable with the other locations.   
 

 Financial Assistance

   If you are experiencing financial difficulty paying for classes, please let me know and we'll make arrangements for a sliding fee scale.  I believe that yoga and its wonderful benefits should be accessible to all.

My Intention

    My intention is to provide you with a safe, fun and inspiring environment where you can nurture body, mind and soul.  I believe we are all on a quest to live life to its fullest and be the best we can possibly be.  My classes offer inspiration to assist you on this journey yet honor you wherever you're at on your life path. Classes are  physically designed to honor your ability level whether you're a beginner or experienced practitioner.  Each class offers modifications as well as challenges to meet your needs.  The size of each class is kept relatively small to accomodate student needs/abilities and provide individual attention to students.  I am honored to have a wide range of students in my classes; men and women from teens to seniors.  

    If you have a specific health concern or injury, please contact me prior to attending your first class so that we can discuss your specific needs and what class might be best suited for you.

    Private sessions are a wonderful way to enhance your body/mind experience whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner.  Many students have found this a great way to prepare for participation in a group class especially  when dealing with specific physical limitations.  Private sessions for adults or children are structured to meet the needs of the client.  This can  include breath work, stress reduction/relaxation, alignment, strength, core stability and therapeutic yoga for individuals with specific health needs.   Classes are located in Pewaukee, Sussex and Waukesha.

    If you are interested in classes at your work place, for special events (bridal showers, girls night out, birthdays, etc.), or classes for small groups, please contact Patti for additional information.
