Morning Hatha Yoga (Returning Fall 2008)
An early morning class that starts with breath work and gentle stretching then eases into gentle flowing sequences and held postures while continually addressing proper alignment.
Yoga Flow
A class where poses flow from one to the other in conjunction with the breath. Class sequence is interspersed with static postures to address strength and balance. A great adjunct for those involved in other sports or fitness training.
Restorative Yoga (Returning Fall 2008)
Ease into the weekend with a relaxing restorative class. This class starts with gentle stretching then, using blocks, blankets, and/or straps, the head, limbs and body are supported in relaxing poses cultivating gentle range of motion and passive stretching. Restorative yoga allows us to “be” rather than “do”. In restorative poses, the body and the mind are able to relax and find balance. This practice is perfect for those with low back issues, pain, fibromyalgia or anyone who wants a gentle, relaxing practice.
Yoga Fusion (Returning Fall 2008)
This class is a blend of Pilates matwork, yoga and traditional strengthening techniques. A more physically challenging class utilizing balls, theraband and blocks. Recommended for students with at least 6 months of yoga experience. A great class for golfers, dancers and the BeachYoga on the Beach
See description for "Morning Hatha Yoga".
Parent/Child Yoga
An interactive class for children and their parent or caregiver. Through the use of music, partner work, stories and games, kids will learn to explore and discover the mind/body connection in fun filled ways. Recommended for children 5-12.
